For the safety of the community, the school grounds will be closed to the public until further notice. First Day of School, September 5: (August 28, 2017) - A new school year is already upon us; the first day of school for students in the Union Springs Central School District is Tuesday, September 5. Students in Grades Pre-K through 4 will report to Cayuga Elementary School at 8:45 a.m., and students in Grades 5 through 8 will report to Union Springs Middle School at 7:35 a.m., and students in Grades 9-12 will report to Union Springs High School at 7:38 a.m.   more >>
Surplus Items for Sale at A.J. Smith Elementary during Route 90 Sale: (July 21, 2017) – The Union Springs Central School District will be holding a Surplus Sale at A.J. Smith Elementary on Friday, July 28, and Saturday, July 29, in conjunction with the Route 90 Sale.   There will be loads of surplus items available, including desks, tables, chairs, shelves, decorations, filing cabinets, electronics, carpet, organizers, cabinets, and much more. High School track temporarily closing beginning June 1: (May 30, 2017) – The track at Union Springs High School will be undergoing repairs. There will be no access to the main field or the track starting June 1. Construction is anticipated to last approximately two weeks, but the district will notify the community when repairs are complete and access is available. I thought it would be beneficial if I explained the thinking and the process that goes into making such a decision. Lady Wolves and National Honor Society Host Make-A-Wish Night, Bottle and Can Drive: (December 12, 2016) – On Tuesday, December 13, Union Springs’ National Honor Society and girls basketball teams are partnering for Make-A-Wish Night at their games against Southern Cayuga. The goal for the night is to raise awareness and money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central NY. Annual Grand Friends Day at A.J. Smith Elementary Was a Hit: (September 21, 2016) – A.J. Smith Elementary School held its annual Grand Friends Day on Thursday, September 15 th to help kick start the school year.
