The Union Springs Central School District 2021-2022 budget was approved by voters 278 to 30. Also approved was the bus proposition, allowing the district to establish a new 10-year capital reserve not to exceed $900,000 to be used for the acquisition of school buses. The community has also approved the funding of the Springport Free Library for a sum of $85,000.
Additionally, board candidates Jeffrey Culver (259 votes), Michael Parker (257 votes) and Carol Quill (255 votes) have been elected to the Union Springs CSD Board of Education.
The district sincerely thanks the community for its support. We believe the approval of this budget will enable us to work our way back toward the academic, social and extra-curricular excellence our school district represents and affords us the opportunity to plan not only for our immediate future, but for our long-term obligations to our community.
