The Aquilifer Chapter of the National Honor Society inducted 18 new members in an evening ceremony at Union Springs Middle/High School on Oct. 26. In addition to meeting the highest academic standards, students must exemplify service, leadership, and excellent character.

Union Springs Board of Education President Robin McKay gave opening remarks. Current members spoke about NHS values.  

Each new inductee was escorted to the stage by current NHS members where they received their certificates and lit a candle.
