Union Springs Middle and High School Hosts Successful Career Day 2024
Union Springs Middle and High School was abuzz with excitement today as students explored potential future careers during Career Day 2024. The event welcomed over 40 professionals from a variety of fields, offering students an invaluable opportunity to learn about diverse career paths.
Representatives from industries such as the arts, public service and safety, health, business, human services, culinary arts, agriculture, STEM, trades, and manufacturing shared their expertise in nearly every classroom. The professionals delivered engaging presentations in four 20-minute sessions, ensuring students could explore multiple career interests throughout the day.
Nina Darnell, Union Springs High School Counselor, expressed her gratitude for the presenters’ contributions. “We are so thankful to all the professionals who took the time to come and share their experiences with our students. It’s events like this that plant the seeds of curiosity and spark interest in future career plans. Our goal is to inspire students and help them envision their paths after graduation.”
Students listened intently to the presenters and asked thoughtful questions about educational requirements, job responsibilities, and day-to-day work life. The hands-on demonstrations and real-world advice offered a glimpse into what lies beyond the classroom.
