What is Kinship Care?
Sometimes children cannot live with their parents- relatives or friends of the family may then provide full-time care. This can be done informally by the family, or formally by Family Court. One program that CAP (Community Action Programs) offers is the Kinship Care Program, with the purpose of strengthening family attachments while promoting safety, permanency, and well-being. Check out the FREE February kick-off party for families to learn more (must sign up by Feb. 20th!)
