    Deciding what you want to be when you graduate high school and college can be stressful and challenging.

    When choosing a career, the most important piece is developing an understanding of who you are, what you like and dislike, and what you are passionate about.

    Below you will find various tools and resources available to you for free to get you started.

    Naviance is a program all of our students, Grades 7-12 have access to. Students will use this program during their time at Union Springs with Ms. DeWolf and Mrs. Darnell. The program has many tools and features to help our students learn more about themselves, careers, colleges, financial aid, and scholarships. Ms. DeWolf and Mrs. Darnell will work with students in class, small groups, and individually to assess their personality type, match their interests to possible careers, research various careers, learn more about post-secondary options, and eventually apply to college. Students are also encouraged to explore the program on their own time. CareerShip is a product of Mapping Your Future, a public-service website providing free career, college, financial aid, and money management information and services. helps young adults plan their next steps in life by bringing together the most recently available information about colleges, careers and military service opportunities from the U.S. Departments of Commerce, Defense, Education and Labor.

    Developed by the Department of Defense and Joint Advertising Market Research & Studies (JAMRS), features career, college and military content, allowing users to explore all possibilities and gain insight into each option. For the first time, unbiased, detailed information on more than 900 civilian and military career fields and nearly 7,000 accredited colleges has been made accessible to young adults in one comprehensive site. In addition to college admissions details, average salaries and employment trends, provides advice on everything from taking the SAT to interviewing for a first job to preparing for boot camp. Step-by-step planning checklists are also provided as a guide for users, and favorite job and school information can be saved for return visits.
