World Champion BMX Rider Chris Poulos Brings Powerful Message to AJ

Last Friday, AJ Smith Elementary welcomed an unforgettable guest — Chris Poulos, Youth Motivational Speaker and the 1991 Bicycle Stunt World Champion. Known for his high-energy assemblies that combine jaw-dropping bicycle stunts with life lessons, Poulos inspired students with his powerful message about the importance of kindness, respect, and perseverance.
Since 1988, Poulos has performed in more than 8,000 schools across the country. In just the past year, he visited over 300 schools in New England, New York, and New Jersey. His custom-designed school assemblies focus on promoting positive core values while encouraging students to eliminate negative behaviors and build strong character.
During the assembly, Poulos performed a series of impressive bike tricks that had students on the edge of their seats. Between stunts, he shared personal stories about how being kind, polite, and respectful helped him rise to the top of his sport and overcome life’s challenges. His presentation emphasized the importance of making good choices and treating others with compassion and dignity.
“Chris truly captivated our students from start to finish,” said AJ Smith Elementary Principal Sheila LaDouce. "He delivered an important message about character and kindness in a way that was engaging, exciting, and unforgettable. We were so fortunate to have him visit AJ.”
