Eighth graders at Union Springs have been diving into hands-on, collaborative learning through Project-Based Learning. In this video, we visit several classrooms — including a stop in Lindsay Janssen’s Social Studies/ELA Lab — where students took on the marshmallow structure challenge to strengthen teamwork and problem-solving skills.

We also caught up with a few of Mrs. Janssen’s students as they shared details about their latest group project, exploring “10 Days: Abraham Lincoln.” Through creative collaboration and critical thinking, these students are bringing history — and learning — to life!
